What is the female Malfoy trend?

Female Malfoy, also called Fem!Draco or #Malfoid, is a fan-created girl version of Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter. The wave that took off in late September 2026 mixes character designs, anime-style expressions, movie redraws and short comics.

New to the character? Draco is Harry's Slytherin rival, raised in a wealthy wizarding family. The official Harry Potter guide introduces his background.

Why fans see a romantic-comedy setup

Some fans reinterpret the rivalry as a proud girl hiding affection behind taunts. In this Reddit discussion, readers describe a tsundere and an enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Others debate how much that changes the original personality.

Genderbend and genderswap describe the girl-version premise. Tsundere describes a character who acts cold or combative while hiding warmer feelings.
